Get ready for the Teach Portsmouth Awards 2023

The Teach Portsmouth Awards return on Thursday 29 June

The Teach Portsmouth Awards return on Thursday 29 June 2023 to celebrate education excellence in the city. This year's ceremony will see even more people recognised including two new categories for early years professionals and governors.

Those who work in schools and colleges across Portsmouth deserve recognition for their hard work to support children and young people. The awards are one way Portsmouth City Council achieve this recognition, shining a light on their achievements and encouraging professionals to stay local.

Between now and the awards ceremony, the Teach Portsmouth team will be updating readers of the news hub on important milestones. In our first update, we look at sponsorship, the launch of the people's choice award and key dates for your diary.

Become a sponsor and help us celebrate education

The Teach Portsmouth Awards is supported by a range of organisations who financially contribute towards making the event a reality. This is done through sponsorship.

This year's sponsors include the University of Portsmouth, HSDC, City of Portsmouth College, National Education Union (NEU), Salterns Academy, The News, Nation Broadcasting, Mountjoy and Gunwharf Quays.

There are still three silver packages remaining at £1,500 + VAT. If you know an organisation who would like get involved, more information can be found on the sponsorship page.

We would like to thank all those who have supported the event so far.

Get ready to nominate an education superstar

The people's choice award, sponsored by The News is open to families in Portsmouth whose children and young people attend a school or college in the city.

Tell us who has made a difference or gone above and beyond the call of duty in their role. Last year, two support staff, Rebekah and Dee were joint winners of the people's choice award.

Share your inspirational stories from the classroom and tell us who deserves recognition for their work.
