The Music Scene in Portsmouth

Music in Portsmouth is thriving. As well as well-known music festivals on your doorstep, attracting some of the best artists in the world, music of all types and to suit all tastes can be found here, bringing people together.


The UK’s biggest metropolitan festival, Victorious has revealed figures is undoubtedly one of the best value festivals around. The fun-filled day festival takes place across August Bank Holiday Weekend. Held in the picturesque seaside location of Southsea overlooking the Solent, Victorious Festival is the ultimate family-friendly experience at a fantastically low price. Boasting a 437,573m2 area with three main stages, over 250 bands and artists performing over the weekend plus: market way, real ale village, world music village, Strongbow Yard, beats and swing tent, VIP enclosure, Southsea castle champagne bar, street food strip, food court and the UK’s largest children’s area of any UK festival. This great festival has received the following nominations:

Isle of Wight Festival

As well as Victorious, the other local festival, right on Portsmouth’s doorstep, is the Isle of Wight Festival. Just a short hop on the ferry or hover, and you are on the Isle of Wight. This British music festival which takes place annually in Newport.
