Caterlink: What do the Teach Portsmouth Awards mean to you?

Caterlink tell us what the awards mean to them

The countdown to the Teach Portsmouth Awards Live event has started!

In this article Caterlink, this year's sponsor of the inclusion and diversity award, tell us what the awards mean to them.

The Teach Portsmouth Awards recognise the achievements of education professionals in schools, colleges and organisations across the waterfront city. This year we'll be celebrating Portsmouth's star teachers, support teams and leaders at a virtual awards ceremony on Thursday 8 July.

In this series of articles, we'll be introducing you to our amazing sponsors who have made this year's event possible.

In this article we spoke to Penny Richards, divisional director at Caterlink, who told us about their company and what the awards mean to them as a sponsor.

Could you tell us what you do and what connection to education you have?

We're really pleased to be supporting the Teach Portsmouth Awards again for another year. Caterlink is proud to provide freshly prepared, nutritious and healthy school meals for pupils in Portsmouth's schools. We work with many schools in the city providing this essential service.

What does the Teach Portsmouth Awards mean to you/organisation?

Caterlink is delighted to support the Teach Portsmouth Awards as we recognise the importance of teachers and schools in developing young people. It is important to us that success and good practice in this area is celebrated and recognised.

What are you looking forward to from the awards ceremony?

One of the things that I love about the awards is meeting and congratulating teachers, support teams and leaders who have really made a difference to young people's education.

What special message do you have for Portsmouth's teacher, support teams and leaders?

I would like to say on behalf of Caterlink, keep up the great work. We all remember our favourite teacher at school and the positivity they brought that shaped our careers and lives. Thank you for everything you do!
