Thank you to everyone who attended our information event at Paulsgrove Community Centre on Wednesday 15 November.
Over 50 people joined adult education providers, schools and multi-academy trusts who provided information on training, apprenticeships and job vacancies.
Primary and secondary schools across the city still need people to become teaching assistants. If you were unable to attend the event, we would recommend the following:
- Need experience in the classroom? Schools always welcome volunteers. Contact them directly to see if they need help. You will need a DBS check completed which the school will help you with.
- If you are ready to work, view the Portsmouth City Council jobs page which lists school vacancies.

Springfield School is a large and inclusive school with over 1100 students, situated in the suburb of Drayton in the north of Portsmouth. The school has an established history of excellent practice and high achievement.
