Thank you for making someone's year

We'd like to thank you for taking the time to share a special message with us. Your messages highlight the important work of superheroes in primary, secondary and specialist schools across the city.

Online submissions have now closed. We will begin collating these messages ready for sharing with schools across the city on a special printed document inside hampers full of goodies in June 2024.

Our superhero moments

We've celebrated some key milestones since January 2024 when we launched the thank a school superhero initiative. Look back at these moments and celebrate with us.

Meon Way Federation thank their school superheroes

To launch thank you postcards in schools, pupils from Meon Way Federation came together with the head teacher to thank teaching and support staff.

Councillor Suzy Horton, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education alongside Mike Stoneman, deputy director, education joined with Sara Paine, head teacher at the school to say a big collective thank you to all their staff.

Thank you tea party held for school superheroes

As the deadline fast approached for thank you messages, we held a celebratory tea party at Arundel Court Primary Academy with staff, parents/carers and their children.

The school had successfully received over 45 individual messages for their superhero staff and were rewarded with a tea party.

Meet our school superheroes

With over 600+ thank you messages, there are plenty of staff who have gone above and beyond the call of duty. To showcase some of our school superheroes, we've shone a light on staff who have supported their communities in different ways.
