Teach Portsmouth is a Portsmouth City Council service, designed to support the recruitment and retention of staff in schools, academies, and colleges.

We work with organisations across the year to help deliver events and campaigns that support these ambitions. As a not-for-profit service, we rely on the goodwill of organisations to help make what we do a reality through sponsorship.

Teach Portsmouth Jobs and Opportunities Fair 2024

HSDC has long supported the work of Teach Portsmouth, including sponsoring an award category and exhibiting at recruitment events. They have recently sponsored the Teach Portsmouth Jobs and Opportunities Fair which took place on Monday 26 February 2024 at Portsmouth Guildhall.

Richard Barlow, deputy director at HSDC spoke about the partnership:

Teach Portsmouth 'thank a school superhero' hampers

Help us say thank you to staff members in primary, secondary and specialist schools.

About opportunity:

Join us as we thank school staff in primary, secondary and specialist schools across the city. Your sponsorship will help fund goodies for the hamper and their distribution.

Your contribution will also help design and print special posters with thank you messages on from families. Each school will receive their own version of this. These posters will be placed inside hampers, enabling schools to display these on noticeboards.

Every school will receive at least one hamper, with larger settings receiving more than one. Depending on the sponsorship level you choose, you will receive a series of rewards, to promote your products and services.

Teach Portsmouth celebrates long service to education

Help us recognise those who have worked in education for + 20 years or more

About opportunity:

Join us for a special afternoon tea at Portsmouth Guildhall on 26 June 2024 attended by the Lord Mayor of Portsmouth and Lady Mayoress.

The event begins with an afternoon tea before guests move upstairs to the mayor's suite to celebrate long service to education.

Each recipient will receive a trophy and certificate for their service to Portsmouth. Sponsors will each present a series of awards for up to 95 recipients.

Your sponsorship helps fund the event and the cost of trophies.
